Graphite online workshop: The Value of Colour – Pale hues & soft neutrals — 12th, 13th, 14th September 2023

$255.00

If you have never worked in black and white as a serious aspect of your art development, then you have missed out on a very important element. The purpose of this graphite workshop is to develop and fine-tune your understanding of the impact of light on a plant subject because understanding the impact of light is essential to success in realistic plant portrayal.

The workshop is designed for all artists regardless of your preference in colour medium. It’s the first in a series delving into the value of colour as interpreted in black and white. Subject selection for the workshop will focus on the pale and delicate colours on plant specimens.

Once you have registered you will be given a choice of suggested suitable subjects. You will select one for immersing yourself in the world of black and white to deepen your observation skills and inject greater dimension into all your future plant studies.

I’m limiting participation to 8.

This is not a course suitable for beginner artists. Participants must be comfortable accurately drawing actual plant specimens.

The recommended accompanying e-booklet is The Value of Colour – Pale hues and soft neutrals.
